This week at C:/Dags saw continued momentum of the D3 project of the month–”Hallway Hieroglyphics.” Mr. Gomez quickly took the premise of the project and incorporated it into the social justice unit of his Geography class. After a class discussion about what it means to have “wealth”, students brainstormed various forms of alternative community capital such as family, social, and linguistic assets. Depicting these concepts visually is the basis of continued hieroglyphics within the C:/Dags hallways. Other teachers are beginning to have their own ideas for Hieroglyphics tied to activities and curriculum. We look forward to seeing the hallways continue fill up with life and color!
