This week at C:/dags was jam packed with activity as teachers continue to develop, as well as impliment their design-based projects with students. D3 facilitators stopped in in Mrs. Lamar’s 6th period class to provide real-time feedback to student design teams on the development of their projects. The goal of the project is to use math concepts to design visually interesting wall installations in the hallway (an adaptation of D3’s “Hallway Heiroglyphics project from last semester). Later we met with Mr. Gomez, who is devising a system for tracking student interest in his advisory class, with the hope of helping to nuture and facilitate small “passion” projects over the course of the semester. Teachers have been utilizing the project tracking system in the lounge, and an air of healthy competition is starting to emerge!
